Our name, Mockingbird Books, was lovingly suggested by one of our co-owner Julie's sons. The mockingbird is the state bird of Texas. We also named our store Mockingbird from the classic To Kill a Mockingbird. It perfectly embodies our spirit of storytelling, echoes the comforting sounds of nature, and carries a timeless literary feel we cherish.
